ADI BOUTROUS

Born in Beer Sheva in 1989, Adi Boutrous is a dancer from an early age. He began his training as a professional dancer at the Matte Asher School of Performing Arts in Kibbutz Gaaton, then at the Maslool – Professional Dance Program in Tel Aviv-Yafo.
His choreographic pieces, made of sensitive and conductive bodies, seek to reveal essences of intimacy and humanity. A state of intention he’s developed since his debut choreography What Really Makes Me Mad, for which he received first prize in the Shades of Dance Festival 2013.
His work has been presented in Israel and internationally at the Théâtre de la Ville – Paris, Biennale de la Danse de Lyon, Belgrade Dance Festival, Julidanse Festival, Kalamata Dance Festival among others.
Adi Boutrous is a vinyl collector and music selector. His musical expertise focuses on the years 1950-1979 in a variety of genres.
